You read that right – earlier today my little sister Grace boarded a plane to Japan and will be living there for the next 10 months. She’ll be teaching English and learning Japanese in Fukuoka, Kyushu, and everyone in the family (including me) is exceedingly proud and jealous. Talk about living the dream!
I don’t know all that much about Kyushu, Japan’s third biggest island in the south west, and its capital city Kyushu, so I’ve roped Grace into doing some guest blogging on here once she’s settled down. I’m obviously going to miss her and don’t really think it’s sunk in yet, but have told her to take photos of everything. Also, there will hopefully be a family trip to Kyushu next year… meaning even more travel blog posts from me (I still have to get through Osaka, Nara and Kanazawa 2015 first).
So, if you have any handy Fukuouka/Kyushu travel tips or general ‘living in Japan’ tips, comment below and I’ll pass them on to Grace. Expect to see some guest blogs from her in the near future!
