If you fancy a trip to Manchester (the best city!) you should put the Doki Doki Manchester Japanese Festival in your calendar on 11th November. This celebration of both modern and traditional Japanese culture has been running for a few years at the Sugden Sports Centre and should be in your radar if you like in the north west.
This year, I’ll be speaking at not one but two panels at Doki Doki! There will even be a chance to win prizes, so read on…
Blogging Japan Panel (4.30pm-5.30pm)
Join me and fellow Japan blogger Geri Draws Japan as we chat about why blogging is the best thing since sliced bread, how to start and keep up your blog, essential do’s and dont’s and more! The panel will be followed by a short quiz, with prizes including Geri’s very own Japanese art pins and the Log Horizon Season 1 and 2 mega blu-ray collection, courtesy of MVM Entertainment!
Japanese Pop Culture Panel (1pm-2.30pm)
Want to listen to me pretend to be knowledgeable about Japanese pop culture when I’m really probably not? Then join me and other more seasoned experts as we chat about everything from books to film to music to everything in between!
Find out more about what’s on at Doki Doki and get your tickets from just £10! Feel free to say ‘hello’ if you do stumbled across me!
